() said it has engaged consultancy Guidehouse to research and advise on science-based solutions towards the company’s long-term strategy to eliminate its climate impact.
The cryptocurrency miner said Guidehouse’s work will include providing a full climate action plan to achieve Argo’s goal of becoming a net-zero greenhouse gas (GHG) company, saying it is aiming to set a precedent for the wider sector and is actively researching “numerous strategies to be a climate friendly cryptocurrency miner”.

Argo said due to its depth of expertise as a global sustainability leader and its extensive experience providing advisory services to the technology industry, Guidehouse is uniquely positioned as a “critical partner in providing Argo with strategic recommendations to become net-zero without inhibiting mining operations” and will help the company thrive in a rapidly changing energy environment.
“We are delighted to be working with Guidehouse to assess the options available in order to achieve our goal of becoming net-zero and a climate friendly cryptocurrency miner”, Argo chief executive Peter Wall said in a statement.
